Book excerpt: At the beginning of the first quarter of 1980, the Shippingport Atomic Power Station was operating with the 1A, 1B, 1C, and 1D reactor coolant loops and the 1AC and 1BD purification loops in service. During the quarter, the Station was operated for the Duquesne Light Company System in the base mode operation. No swing load operations were conducted this quarter; however, several 15% reactor power cycles were performed for training. The LWBR core has generated 15,129.91 EFPH from startup through the end of the quarter.
