Book excerpt: Minorities, minority rights and development: an issues paper is part of a 3-4 year programme of work which MRG is beginning with partners to improve the access to development opportunities of poor and marginalized minority communities. Four research papers (of which this is the first) will be combined with country/communities case studies and studies documenting particular minority perspectives on recent development activities. This detailed research will form the basis for a concerted lobbying effort involving minority communities themselves as well as MRG staff and targeting donor Non-Governmental Agencies, Inter-Governmental Agencies and Governments.
