Book excerpt: A large computer code was written to perform a number of discriminant analysis procedures on aerial radiometric data. Work on percentile estimation, using the normal and log-normal probability distributions, was extended. Additional work was performed on methods of computing with large data sets. Attempts are being made to evaluate the behavior of principal components analysis relative to element distribution in a survey area. We also provided general statistical consulting in such areas as discriminant analysis, filtering, and kriging.
