Douglas, was a civil engineer. In the small Pennsylvanian town, Keaton grew up as the youngest of his six siblings. He attended Montour High School and went on to study speech at Kent State. He attended college for two years and then moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As a young adult living in Pennsylvania, he quickly landed a job as a stagehand at WKED – a public broadcasting station.
