I’ve put on a brave face for our son. He can’t even remember his mother, and it kills me inside everyday. Now, I’m out of the military and running a company. Pretty damn good at it, really. The only thing bothering me about it is my secretary, Kristen. She’s stubborn and sexy. I thought after my wife passed, I’d never want a woman again. Kristen has me questioning that. I don’t know. Maybe she’s my salvation, or maybe I’m a fool. But I can’t lie and say I don’t want her with every fiber of my being.
