There were difficulties in carrying out, as we had contemplated, the making of a manual that might serve our readers, at all turns, as an indicator and reminder in the fulfilment of the pas toral and priestly functions. The question that puzzled was not so much what to put into the volume, but rather what to omit, lest the volume should become cumbersome and distracting. Perhaps our readers will help us by suggestions how to improve the year book in future. Meantime we trust it will be of service, as it is; and hope that it may meet with the good will of those for whose benefit it has been arranged.
